Harley-Davidson Museum and Wedding Chapel?
MILWAUKEE (WITI) — As if the Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary wasn’t already an event to remember, a Minnesota couple decided to take it a step further and take the big plunge during the big event.
Kyle Crone and Karin Dreyer tied the knot under a white tent on the South Lawn of the Harley-Davidson Museum on Saturday, August 31st.
The couple just got engaged in July but share a deep love for Harley and, on a whim, decided to get married during the celebration.
“It’s kind of our passion,” said Crone. “It’s what we do in our free time.”
“It’s too bad we don’t live somewhere we can ride all year long. We have to make the most of the months we have,” said Dreyer.
The wedding party was small and there were only a few guests, but the bride and groom say the ceremony represented who they are.
“This is motorcycle Heaven,” said Crone. “We got married in Heaven,” added Dreyer.
Although the ceremony wasn’t big, the couple plans to celebrate with a few thousand friends during their reception Saturday evening — at the Kid Rock concert.
Mr. and Mrs. Crone say they plan to come back to the Harley-Davidson 115th Anniversary to celebrate their five-year anniversary.
Two other weddings were planned at the Harley-Davidson museum on Saturday. Harley provided the couples with a bouquet, boutonniere, cake and champagne. The bride and groom had to bring their own bikes.
