Three Part Series Harley And The Davidsons.
Harley and the Davidsons will premiere in India on October 14 at 9 PM. The three-part series will air on the next two consecutive Fridays, after its premiere. If you’re scratching your head wondering why the air date was delayed for India and what the big deal is, then you’re probably unaware of the importance of it. India is a huge market for Harley-Davidson.
The country not only embraced the culture of Harley-Davidson but it’s fierce independence and brand status symbol. The main transportation for millions in that country is the motorcycle, and it’s embedded in their way of life. From the upwardly mobile tech savvy to the middle aged rebel, the demographics mirror that of many other countries, with the exception being that female numbers are much higher. And it was countries such as India and Australia that warranted a price and size point entry bike The Street 500 because of limitations on new riders.
Harley-Davidson is poised to expand in the Asian market immediately (India is considered Asian) in countries like China, Korea etc. So the timing of the release of Harley And The Davidsons couldn’t be better.
Harley-Davidson motorcycles have become almost synonymous with the term cruiser motorcycles thanks to the wide variety of motorcycles it has to offer. But that’s not the only reason behind its fan following, it’s also the history behind the company.
Built from the ground up by founders Walter and Arthur Davidson and their friend Bill Harley, the road to success was filled with obstacles, competitors and risks. Together these three young men, the sons of blue-collar immigrants, gave everything they had to ensure the survival of the company they founded.
It’s a legacy that has endured over 100 years – and at the heart of the brand and its loyal riders.
